When is CON.TXT 2023?

CON.TXT 2023 will be held online on June 23–25, 2023 (Eastern Daylight Time).

When and how can I register?

Registration is now open! You can pay using either a credit or debit card (our payment processing platform supports Google Pay, Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express). Please note that you will have to have an email address associated with your Conline account for the payment to go through properly (you can add your email address to your Conline account here).

How much does it cost to attend?

Early bird registration is open until March 31, 2023, with registration costs discounted to $20. The cost covers the administrative cost of the convention. Regular registration is $25, and open through June 15, 2023. From now through May 31, attendees can choose to purchase a regular ticket or a ticket including a gift bag, which will be mailed out to attendees. The additional fees associated with the gift bag include shipping costs (both domestic and international, with separate ticket options for both categories of attendees) and costs of producing the gift bag contents. After May 31, 2023, gift bags will no longer be available for purchase. Those interested in attending CON.TXT 2023 can purchase a last minute ticket from June 18-22, 2023, at a cost of $30.

Scholarships are available.

What is included in the gift bag?

The gift bag includes a DVD or USB, enamel pin, vinyl sticker, and printed program.

What scholarships does CON.TXT offer and how do I apply?

We offer free registration for fans of color and fans who cannot otherwise afford to attend CON.TXT. To apply, please email registration@contxt.club and let us know if you are applying for a scholarship. You do not need to disclose any personal circumstances to qualify. Scholarship applications are open until Friday, June 16, 2023.

I'm not located on the East Coast of the U.S. Will you accommodate other time zones?

We will to an extent. Attendees on the U.S. West Coast will have a couple of early days (starting around 7 am Pacific time), and attendees in other time zones may have to stay up late or miss the end-of-day activities such as pre-con games on Friday night or the Saturday night vid show. Some attendees may find most CON.TXT events difficult to attend in real time. We will facilitate replays of vid shows for those who aren't able to watch them live. Other programming will only be available live.

How can I get updates about the con?

Updates are posted in the following places:

What is your cancellation policy?

Attending members who cancel 30 days before the con can choose to have their registration fee (less any processing fee) refunded. Email registration@contxt.club for details.

What is your safety policy?

We want CON.TXT to be a safer space for all attendees. If you notice behavior you think is inconsistent with this goal, the concom is ready to help. Please note that CON.TXT is a private event, and we reserve the right to refuse admission to any participant at any time for any reason, with no refund of registration fees.

You can read our Code of Conduct, Privacy, and Accessibility Policies. Please email safety@contxt.club with any questions or concerns.

Is there a minimum age for attendance?

Yes. You must be 18 years of age or older by the time the con starts in order to attend. By registering, you are agreeing that you meet this requirement.

How can I get involved?

You can propose panels/vid shows/workshops, vote on programming, nominate and make vids, submit recorded content, and hold DIY panels at the con! Visit con-txt.dreamwidth.org for details.

What about CON.TXT 2025?

We don't know yet. Our former hotel, the Residence Inn Pentagon City, in Arlington, VA, just south of Washington, D.C., closed permanently in Fall 2020. We plan to stay in the D.C. area.
